102 Yards of Cowboy-Butt-Kicking Bliss!

I'm a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan. My history with them goes way back, and I watched in horror last year as they fell apart in the midst of the Terrell Owens scandal and several key injuries. And, I cheered when Owens was suspended and left the team to head for Dallas.

Since then, I have waited for today, the day that T.O. and the Cowboys would come to play in Philly. The game lived up to all the hype. It see-sawed back and forth, both offenses firing well and both defenses causing turnovers. At the end of the game and with a 7-point lead, Michael Lewis committed pass interference on Terry Glenn, putting the Cowboys inside the 10 and eying a game-tying score. On second down, Drew Bledsoe fired a pass toward his tight end that was intercepted by Lito Sheppard and taken 102 yards for the score, sealing the win for the Eagles.

The win proved that the Eagles are a serious contender in the NFC this year and puts them at 4-1 and solidly on top in the NFC East. To all the critics who thought they were a last place team this year, I have to say that they never should've doubted a team with McNabb at the helm and a great defense. The rest of the season looks promising.

Cheers,
Jeff

It was certainly an impressive win against a very strong Dallas team, and McNabb has been on fire this season. The game with the Saints this weekend should be a classic battle.

I'm not much of a football fan, I think partially out of self-defense, because it would be too painful to be right now.

Grandpa was a big-time BYU (college football, not NFL, so I know it's different) fan. I would be too, except for they've played yuckily ever since I started attending here.

Siiiigh.

Maybe one day I'll face the fear and be a fan anyway.

BYU is playing much better this year, so it would be a good year to watch. It might be cathartic as well. :)
